Hey and welcome! My name is Adam, and I run this blog. I am currently a Software Engineer and am just getting my journey into the world of technology started. Before that, I completed a BSc in Mathematics and Physics at Durham University.

My tech stack experience is mainly in Java, Python, Postgres, Docker and Kubernetes. Recently, I have taken a dip into the world of cloud computing through AWS and Oracle Cloud. Outside of that, I’ve been busy refining and setting up my ‘homelab’, which has been a whole adventure in itself.

why this blog?

Given that I have only started my career into the fast-paced world of tech, I feel like there’s so much to learn and sometimes it’s hard to sift through all the noise to learn and discover the things that are actually relevant at a given moment. What helped me pinpoint that was writing down as much as I could so that, for one, I would remember what I had learnt, but also so I could refer to it when helping someone else. But then over the past year or so, I’ve accumulated all this information and thought why not just share it with everyone? And that’s what this aims to be.

In this blog, I want to share my experiences and learnings on Software Engineering and technology as a whole, in a quest to share the knowledge of what I’ve learnt along my journey and provide useful insights to others. Hopefully through this, you will learn something you might not have known before!
